Interview with Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra + New album ‘Multilayer’

Highgrade was found ten years ago by Tom Clark in his own living room, later on he moved into an office in Friedrichshain. With its increase the label played a central role in Berlin's techno scene, always keeping a familiar atmosphere and simultaneously playing at the foreground of the music scene. First catalogue numbers were graced by Sebo K, James Flavour, Format B and Guido Schneider, later on artists like Mihai Popovicu, Sasse and Philip Baader joined the Highgrade family. Once a month they released an EP, with the aim of going down well in the club. It suceeded with a high-class catalogue, that is shaped by finest deep house, minimal and techhouse. With a deep love to vinyl, they released one EP per months. Now they arrived at catalogue number 104 and 10 years of label experiences. Due to this event family members Todd Bodine, Tom Clark, Philip Bader, Daniel Dreier and Dale teamed up to establish the Highgrade Disharmonic Orchestra. In this project they bundle their style with multilayer composing. The result is the philosophy of the label as listening version. With pulsing beats, sophisticated synths and even jazzy elements Highgrade proved again their ability for self invention and great innovations that are suitable for the dancefloor. Watch on top a portrait of these smart guys and listen below to their new, amazing album 'Multilayer'. Also live a big pleasure!
