Lady Blacktronika – Fear Of A Track Planet (Sound Black Recordings)
Lady Blacktronikas new EP, called "Fear Of A Track Planet", delivers five rough, simple and effective Detroit and Chicago rooted underground house tracks, released on the Ladies' very own label Sound Black Recordings. It starts with "Nation" by Black Moods, a collaboration between Lady Blacktronika and Last Mood, which indeed is a shaking raw house groove accompanied by catchy eerie sounds and a subtle scent of soul. Lady Blacktronikas title track follows, male and female voices interact over deep chords and a smooth bouncing groove. "Music's To Blame" presents a freaky pumping acid house arrangement driven by passionate vocals and ravey elements, before "Feeling Music" goes mental with its freaked out female voice loop over a quite laidback rhythm. The package finishes with the strangely magnetic "Many Pleasures 2013", a dark and scary, bass driven house track shaped by a soulful voice and twisted sonics.
