Review on: Youandewan – Luna Via (Voyage Recordings)
Ewan Smith aka Youandewan has always shown a keen understanding for merging different styles from classical dance music approaches into a perspective of his own. A point that could not have marked better as by the release of his debut album “There Is No Right Time” in 2016 on Aus Music and the shortly before appearing EP “Luna Via” for the Australian Voyage Recordings label. On both the musical output of the British producer based in Berlin seem to have landed at a new state of matureness. His “Luna Via” EP is with a one year delay also heading towards to hit digital places and offers some rarely heard depths of house music. Every element of the three given tracks sounds like it has been carefully shaped and put into its place. Youandewan reaches to add a distinct listening appeal to a sound that in its core still stays club music. The way it all comes together in here could be described as warming futuristic etherealness that embraces house, dub techno, electro and downbeat to invent some lush space-travel music for curious late-night and morning floor minds. Touching deepness that's highly recommended! Written by Jan (WPP) You can buy "Youandewan – Luna Via" HERE from whatpeopleplay
