Review on: Sam Irl & Dusty – Twelve Inch Jams 001 (Jazz & Milk)
The Vienna based Sam Irl and Jazz & Milk head Dusty from Munich team up for a joint production venture for the first issue of the label’s freshly begun “Twelve Inch Jams”. The series that is dedicated to the first lady of dj formats the 12 inch record and meant to bring just floor convenient sounds to the decks out there. Since both producers have shown their commitment for organic sounds for the heads circling around hip hop, jazz, soul, funk and house through their past efforts, it’s no surprise their common works come as a sample-heavy beatmaker house drop. Strongly rooted in jazz and funk and smoothly blended by waving chords, open stabs, shuffle grooves and sample cuts these are two warming house floor tunes and good vibrations emitting tracks for fans of labels like Sampling As An Art, Quintessentials, Dirt Crew, Quartet Series, Lagaffe Tales ... Dope stuff! Written by Jan (WPP) You can buy "Sam Irl & Dusty – Twelve Inch Jams 001" HERE from whatpeopleplay
