Studio Talk: The Unhottest – Double Universe (ISENDIT.)
Tech talk with The Unhottest about the production process of their tracks Crocodile Repair, Switch Station, Relative and International Reality taken from their 2nd new album Double Universe released on ISENDIT. Crocodile Repair Sometimes we like big gimmicks, but in this case not. We’ve put the slowly swimming crocodile out of the water to repair it so that it could walk back into the river for a nice dubby groove dive. Two days later when we saw him again his swimming looked nice and better. And...he smiled! 1_300 Switch Station Is a little turnaround situation. You have to listen to it with the utmost concentration because we don’t seem to be able to do that. That’s the reason why we’ve put these 30 un-lightspeed seconds on the album. Maybe you can help us and send us the solution (via soundcloud/email/twitter/instagram/tumblr/facebook/tinder/postbox/allover) 4_300 Relative One of our favorite tracks on the album is this one. We like its puristic charme with those significant sounds but it’s also a quite functional track that can work in your club as well. Fits perfectly for dub, techno and house lovers! 6_300 International Reality Last but not least the longest track on our 14 tracks album. Sometimes our hands spontaniously move into pop directions. Then we simply let it flow. Reflecting the area where we come from, it must have evolved subconsciously. Because we think it’s typical for the sound of our city.
