Superdefekt’s Roundup of the last weeks entries in Dubstep, Techno, Halfstep, Nustep, UK Garage & House - Bass Music selection for the week 43 with releases by Cupp Cave, Volta Cab, T. Williams. RAMP058 - Cupp Cave – NVMB - RAMP Recordings Less dance, more listening. As apart from the weirdly grooving closing track Tomb Face these tracks are of a more abstract kind. Like glitchy dreams of fields of organic electronics coming alive. Beautiful. VR013D - Volta Cab - I Cannot Sleep – Voyeurhythm Fusing once again bass music with house Volta Cab puts on his raving shoes, lights the glow stick and presents with the aptly titled I Cannot Sleep and Jamelia two hardstepping warehouse bass tunes. The third track, I Remember, serves as the dreamy and atmospheric coda. Love084 - Miles – Unsecured - Modern Love Functioning as some sort of addendum for his Faint Hearted album these four tracks show the more danceable side of Miles while still maintaining a clearly experimental edge. Dark and dusty techno for the 21st century. Love085 - Demdike Stare - Test Pressing#001 : Collision / Misappropriation - Modern Love The Test Pressing series shows the more dancefloor oriented side of Demdike Stare. Nevertheless this music is still very much on the experimental side of things, with vague techno rhythms and deconstructed jungle breaks shining through a thick mist of industrial noises. Love086 - Demdike Stare - Test Pressing#002 : Grows Without Bound / Primitive Equations - Modern Love Part two of Demdike Stares‘ series of more danceable tracks. Grows Without Bonds is a slowly moving noise snake of a track but it is mostly the mutated breakbeats of Primitive Equation which impress here, combining shades of uk hardcore with industrial music‘s experimentalism. PMR037 - T. Williams - Feelings Within EP - PMR Records Ltd Working this time with a female singer, Feelings Within is surely T. William‘s most accessible   release to date. But he hasn‘t forgotten his old fans, as shown in the more ruff and funky styles of Mobb and Three Letters.
