Virgo Four – It’s A Crime

Virgo Four – It’s A Crime
After United Kingdoms Virgo Four released their vast album 'Resurrection' Eric Lewis and Merwyn Sanders give a coupling out of their hit 'It's a Crime'.  The opener: An amazing remix by Caribou that already take Motor City Drum Ensemble and Ewan Pearson to their heart. A for a Caribou typical slowly build up that reminds of his last album 'Swim'. It consists of the bass melody and discreet percussion. Suddenly the voice appears, until the unique Caribou sound emerges into hypnotic, psychedelic electronic arrangements while we get already familiar with that synth sound we used to listen to in Caribou's  'Kaili'. After that synthswelling drops out, the percussion comes to the fore and pushes on the floor, the only existing melody reminds of the Rider's In The Storm organ. Caribou did a masterpiece here, too good that he appears again and again. Another remix is given by german disco producer Hunee, the bassline a bit heavier and more classic but also full of power with its deep grooves and synths. The original sets in the good old Rush Shour Chicago sound. Epic record.
